Past Present Possible CIC launches search for emerging act to support Geno Washington & The Ram Jam Band

Past Present Possible CIC, the organisation leading the celebrations to mark the 60th anniversary of Barbeque 67, is offering a unique opportunity for emerging musicians to take their place in music history.

On 12 November 2026, the South Holland Centre will welcome legendary performer Geno Washington & The Ram Jam Band for a very special event marking the beginning of the Barbeque 67 anniversary celebrations.

Now, Past Present Possible CIC is looking for a new and emerging act to open the show – continuing the original spirit of Barbeque 67, which provided an incredible opportunity for upcoming artists.

The opportunity is open to soloists, duos and trios of all ages, with local performers particularly encouraged to apply.

The successful act will perform an approximately 45-minute live support set, warming the audience up before Geno takes to the stage. There is also potential for further performance opportunities as part of the wider Barbeque 67 60th anniversary celebration programme.

Organisers are looking for an act that will complement rather than replicate Geno Washington’s sound, so this is not specifically a search for soul or R&B performers. They want to discover musicians with their own identity, style and stage presence and, where possible, their own music.

Applicants should submit a 90-second video of themselves performing live. Performers must play their own instruments, and no backing tracks are permitted. Applicants must also be able to provide their own equipment for the live performance.

Following the video submissions, a shortlist will be invited to an in-person audition in October.

Applications close on 30 September 2026.

To apply, please send your 90-second performance video along with a short biography to:
